RAFOON, born Farzad Rafatmah in 1995 in Shiraz, Iran, is a DJ and producer based in Germany. On stage his sound leans hypnotic, industrial and minimal techno: deep, stripped back and relentless, built to pull a room into a trance.
Germany was never just a place on a map for him. He was pulled there by the techno that moved him, by a scene where the music is taken seriously, and by a community that opens its arms to anyone who lives for the dancefloor. Chasing that feeling, he left Iran to build a life around the sound that inspired him, and Germany became the home where it all finally made sense.
As a musician he is a fan of melodic techno and draws from many genres, and that openness shapes everything he plays. In the studio or behind the decks, the goal is the same: a journey that breathes, builds and stays with you long after the last track.
Years of performing have shaped a DJ who reads a room before he reads a tracklist. Every set is written in the moment, for the people in front of him.
